Because women don't need men. They dress and put on makeup for themselves. A common misconception among males.

Hopefully, no one wants anyone who looks like skeleton. Wouldn't you want something to grab on to? Weight is such a disturbing subject...I see girls at 5 years old talking about how fat they are and how they can be thin to get a boyfriend. That's insane! No 5 year old should even know what a diet is, unless, seriously, there is an issue.

Guys are just shallow to be brutually honest with you. They want their fantasy girl which they see on t.v, porn, movies etc. and when they don't find that they criticize curvy girls.

And America is the highest place where obesity exists. No matter what gender, or age. Times have changed now, back in the day people use to eat at home, and not go out every now and then. McDonald's is pretty much a killer anyway.

Girls/Guys make a quick stop at the drive thru and gain gain and gain.

The older models and actresses were size 10-13, but now all models and most actresses are size 0-2. Rarely you will ever see a nicely toned plus size model on a run way.

Everybody has their own choice regarding any and everything.

And btw hun. not all guys like to skin and bone.
Curvy normal body types like marilyn is the hottest.
Nicole richie and lindsay lohan types arent.

That isn't true at all, I'm plus sized and my man love me a lot!
He is very attracted to me and I know he completely adores me.
I think all women are beautiful same with men (not in that way of course). I mean it's normal for me to think a man is handsome, just as it is normal for men to find women beautiful. That's what I meant.

Because society is eating way too many carbs, fast food, junk food and not exercising. It's getting worse. People need to read about the paleo-diet. What humans ate back in cave man times and weren't obese.

Probably for girls its because the lifestyle being promoted now a days is one where the girl is hot -in that she shows leg and cleavage, is independent, empowered -can do as she like (aka. all those mags and shows saying be yourself your allowed to be fat, as long as you like who you are) and is gain enough to eat a big mac with the boys. Another idea is that perhaps because people are getting less sleep and exercise they are trying to compensate by getting energy from food.

Why aren't all men buffed with rippling muscles and a rock hard ab because women prefer men like this? Why are most all the men out of shape? I'm not kidding. I see out of shape men all the time. They look like they have never seen a gym in their life. Why aren't the men out there lifting weights and working out to please women like me? You expect the women to diet to get to the size you "prefer" but what about the men pleasing us? It works both ways sweetie.

As far as women dressing up and putting on make-up, etc. to please men, most men I have met really don't care about all that. They really prefer naked best.
