Question: Is it appropriate for a dad to take 40 pictures of his well developed 14 yr. old in a bikini on the beach?

Honestly, they were on a boat at the lake. Were they supposed to be wearing snow suits? Also, teenage girls love having their photos taken, they probably made him take them all.

I mean if you are genuinely concerned, watch his behaviour around young girls, hopefully just to satisfy yourself that there is nothing amiss.

But unless this guy is a total sicko I wouldnt jump to the conclusion that he was thinking more to it then just taking pictures of his daughter and her friend on a trip. Yes that does seem a little peculiar but why dont you just talk to him about it. And talk to the daughter. I think both have a share in the situation. Just talk to them about it and hopefully both will understand.

2 or 3 pictures may be ok. But 40-50? It's scary that a father would take that many pictures of his daughter regardless of what she's wearing. You need to talk to him about that. And if you don't want the pictures on her myspace, tell her to delete them. If she refuses to, you can probably get Tom (myspace creator) to delete them.

That is excessive and why would your step daughter post those pics on myspace? That's in appropriate.She is aware of her development and is seeking attention that she is going to get. I'm sure the boys are giving her plenty of compliments and offers . She needs to be strictly spoken too. As for hubby take away his camera and tell him to get a new hobby and a shrink. Ask hubby if he has an interest in incest or pedophilia .See what his response is an and tell him what your concerns are and where they lay. First of all if my daughter was 14 and that developed i'd buy her one of those 1920's head to toe swimsuits. Holy Crap! She's 3 now and I knew my wife when she was 16 so if she's anything like her mom... i am screwed.

No the Dad shouldn't have taken those pictures 1 or 2 isn't an issue but 40. I hope his intentions are good but I would never let my daughter at 14 prance around in a swimsuit like that. Tankini with long boardshorts. Way less whore-ish!

have you tried to talk to him like that other gal said teenagers love to get the pictures taken they probably asked him to do it also they are 14 they are allowed to wear a bikinni right they are covered it all the spots aren't they and so what if she is a d-cup my sister is too and she wears bikinis and she is 14 also i think that it is preverted if he wanted to take all the pics but if they wanted him to i think it is fine. 10-20 pics are fine but 50 are a lot. Just talk to him and hear his side of the story

Yes that many pics are inappropriate and a big signal. Further he's aiding her to expose herself on MySpace. You really should make your mind known on this matter and ask him why so many pics. I have a sneaking suspicion that he finds her development awesome. And he's treading on dangerous territory. She's like a carnival freak show to him. He needs to be reminded that a fathers responsibility is to Guide, Guard and Govern his children. Not exploit them. You better ask him if he's ever watched porn. And if so how much and on what basis. He needs to know that yes it is harmful and if exposure isn't checked it leads to pedophilia( I didn't say it the experts said it.).Men forget the women in those mags and video's are real human beings. Yes a father can take pictures on vacation of his kids in bathing suits. Nothing wrong with that unless he is hiding the pictures or giving them to friends.
You should tell your child to remove the pictures from myspace because you dont want pictures on the internet of her in a bathing suit. Explain to her that people can STEAL the pictures and use them on porn sites illegally. So that sick men who like to molest children might stare at her picture. Either she takes down the pictures or her myspace account gets closed. It is her choice. That is your decision tell her.

Talk to your husband. Ask him why he took so many pictures of your daughter. Tell him it makes you uncomfortable that he took so many pictures while she was in her bathing suit.
